Position Details

The Village of Park Forest is currently conducting a Firefighter/Paramedic New Hire Recruitment to establish a new three-year eligibility list.

Residency requirement:

No village residency required.

Minimum Requirements (at the time of hire):

Mandatory Orientation:

Thursday, January 8 at 7 PM

Doors open at 6:30 PM. Candidates arriving after 7 PM are eliminated from the process.

Mandatory written exam will be conducted on:

Saturday, January 10 at 9 AM

Doors open at 8:30 AM. Candidates arriving after 9 AM are eliminated from the process.

Oral Interviews:

Conducted by the Park Forest Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.

Interviews are expected to be held on January 20. No make-up dates will be offered. Applicants eligible to interview will be notified approximately one week after the written exam. At the time of interview candidates will be photographed. Any outstanding documents must be presented at the time of interview.
