Salary:

• Starting: $75,920.00 - $103,784.12, depending on qualifications

  Top Out in as short as two years: $111,072.00 (eff. 1/1/25)

  $3,000 HIRING INCENTIVE - if hired by December 1, 2025

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• Legal resident or legally allowed to work in the United States
• Must be 21 years of age
• High school graduate or possess a GED
• Valid driver's license
• An applicant must have been awarded a certificate attesting to his or her successful completion of the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course, as provided in the Illinois Police Training Act. Out of state law enforcement certifications may qualify under the ILETSB’s reciprocity process.  
• Must be physically able to perform the essential job function of the position of police officer.
