Position Details

The Village of Oswego Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for full-time Investigations Specialist.

The position is responsible for supporting law enforcement investigations by conducting research, gathering and analyzing information, and assisting detectives with case-related tasks. This role enhances the efficiency of criminal investigations while ensuring compliance with legal and departmental policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and five years experience in police or municipal government or equivalent is required.
• CALEA experience and Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) Basic Investigator preferred.

• Thorough background screening
