Position Details

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 20 years of age at time of exams and have not reached your 35th birthday by the date of the written exam 12/08/2018 (See Public Act 097-0251, Section 10-1-7. D & I for exceptions)
• Associates Degree, 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college credit from an accredited college or university, OR 2 years of active military service, OR equivalent of both
• Valid IL Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a Firearm/Weapon License
• No felony convictions and good moral character
• 35-mile residency requirement after one year of hire
• English/Spanish fluency is a plus
• Submit the $20 non-refundable application fee by the application deadline, 4:00 PM on 11/14/2018
• Submit an official transcript or proof of military service with your application
• Submit a copy of a valid P.O.W.E.R. (Illinois Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report) card issued within the last 12 months (between November 14, 2017 and November 14, 2018) with your application
