The Village of Kenilworth is recruiting highly qualified, mature-minded individuals to complement our police department.
The Kenilworth Police Department is a police organization which is committed to the safety and protection of its community.
REQUIREMENTS:
Be of good moral character, posses sound judgment, of excellent health, and physically and mentally able to perform assigned duties.
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Possess a valid State of Illinois driver’s license.
Possess no prior felony convictions.
Minimum of five years experience as a full-time Police Officer preferred.
Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a medical examination, background investigation and other required pre-employment testing.
Applicants MUST possess the Illinois Basic or STTAR/PEP Course prescribed by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board or successful completion of a basic training program of similar content and number of hours, found acceptable by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board for waiver of minimum training standards (50 ILCS 705).
Must be able to successfully perform all the duties and tasks assigned to a Kenilworth Police Officer.
Day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts will be assigned in 4, 8 and 12 hour blocks.
A minimum of 40 hours per month and a maximum of 1,560 hours per year.
