Position Details

Seeking hard working and reliable security personnel to join a team of trained Security Officers who are responsible for protecting patrons, property, & facilities of a manufacturing center located in the Northwest Chicago Suburb of Niles, IL.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• OBSERVE - Provide maximum awareness, look for inconsistencies in your surroundings.
• REPORT - Document information regarding status changes, incidents, critical situation.
• DETER - Exhibit positive presence, mindset, and mentality at all times. 

DUTIES: 

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, trespassing, & loitering
• Monitor CCTV both interior and exterior
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Report any facility issues to the appropriate staff member/supervisor
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) License
• MUST have a Black Cargo Pants and Black Tactical Boots
• High School Diploma and/or GED Equivalent
• Must have Reliable means of Transportation
• Minimum of one (1) year of Security Customer Service Experience in a Corporate Surroundings (preferred) 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to write and communicate professionally in English.
• Ability to use a switchboard to answer and transfer incoming calls.
• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to resolve concerns while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to demonstrate customer service skills, engaging in conversations to identify the needs or concerns.
• Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills to ensure all tasks / forms are completed in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively and adapt skills to a variety of audiences.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork, by assisting and communicating with co-workers.
