  Step 3 Salary under Current Contract: $88,939.81

  Step 8 (Top-Out) Salary under Current Contract: $116,959.57

Police Officer Minimum Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age and have not passed their 35th birthday by closing date for application.     
• Possess a valid driver’s license. 
• Possess a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card at time of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalency required.

Orientation and Written Exam:

Sign-in will be held from 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM

The guide and practice test are not required in order to sit for the exam.
