Position Details

The Burr Ridge Police Department is currently accepting applications for Entry Level Police Officers (Rolling List).

Entry Level Candidates must fill out an application with NTN and upload the pertinent documents.  All Entry Level Candidates must complete the FrontLine National exam through National Testing Network.  Applicants must also complete the Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA) and the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) located in your National Testing Network account.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Department Overview:

The Burr Ridge Police Department consists of 32 full-time employees, 28 of whom are sworn officers including a Chief, two (2) Deputy Chiefs, and five (5) Sergeants.

Officers enjoy working twelve-hour shifts and participating in extensive levels of training.

The Department also offers a variety of specialty positions:

Hiring Process:

1. Complete the Burr Ridge Police Department application process. This includes completing the National Testing Network’s Frontline exam, personal history questionnaire (PHQ), Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA), and uploading a completed application with all necessary documentation. Applications with missing documentation will not be considered.
2. Oral interview with the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
