Position Details

Accepting applications for Lateral Full-Time Police Officer List

Applicants must:

• Be at least 21 years old
• Be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States (must meet the Dept of Homeland Security Employment Eligibility requirements at time of hire)
• Possess a valid drivers license
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Have no felony convictions NOTE: Some convictions for misdemeanors or serious traffic offenses may also disqualify applicants from further consideration
• Be a current Illinois state certified full-time police officer 

Patrol works 12-hour shifts

Must live within 25 nautical miles of Police Department within 1 year of being hired
