Position Details

The Village of Matteson is seeking to hire Records Clerks for the Police Department.

This position is responsible for record maintenance, customer service, clerical, and cashiering duties as well as other duties detailed in the job description.

Qualifications: 

• A high school diploma and two years of related experience in police records or law enforcement are required.
• LEADS experience is preferred.
• Qualified applicants must be self-starters, possess excellent organizational skills, capable of working with limited supervision and comfort interacting with the public. 

The Records Division operates 24 hours a day/7 days per week. This is a part-time position, working 8-hour shifts, and may require afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Candidates will be required to undergo a physical examination, and background investigation at the Village’s expense prior to final selection.
