Competitive Selection Process

Starting Salary:

$69,730.52

The North Maine Fire Protection District is accepting applications for the purpose of establishing an eligibility list for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic.

Applicants must:

• Be at least 21 years old at time of application and less than 35 years of age at the end of the application deadline unless otherwise provided by state or federal law.

• Be Paramedic (EMT-P) licensed in the State of Illinois prior to the application deadline.

• Have a valid CPAT card and ladder certificate dated no earlier than January 11, 2018.

There will be an oral interview after the written exam with a date TBD.

Upon conditional offer of employment, the candidate must successfully complete a psychological, polygraph, background and medical evaluation.

Candidates are required to pay a $20.00 fee when submitting their completed application.

All completed applications must be filed at the North Maine Fire Station by 4:30 p.m. on January 11, 2019.
