Position Details

The Village of Stone Park Police & Fire Commission Board is conducting testing to create an Eligibility List for future Full-Time Police Officer hiring needs.

Stone Park is a western suburb of Chicago.

The applications are available January 13 - 24, 2020. There is a non-refundable processing fee of $35.00.

Completed applications MUST be returned to the Stone Park Village Hall no later than January 24, 2020 at 5pm. Applications returned via mail will not be accepted.

You must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Driver's License: Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record and the ability to obtain an Illinois Driver's License
• Age Requirements: Applicants must have attained their 21st Birthday by the hiring date. Applicants must be under the age of 35 years old on the last date for filing applications (1/24/2020), unless exempt by State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1
• Education: Must have 2 years of college (60 hours) OR have completed 4 years of military service and discharged honorably.
• Character: Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character
• Testing: Must be able to participate and successfully complete all stages of the testing process
• Residency: If hired, candidate must live within 25 miles from Stone Park

Applicants must:

• Attend the mandatory Oral and Written tests along with Orientation
• Dates will be provided to at a later date
