Public Information Officer

This position is responsible for acting as a liaison between the Police Department, the public, and the news media.  Officer John Hatcher recently announced his retirement which will leave a vacancy for this position.

The ideal candidate will have:

• An Associate’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field;

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in public or media relations.

Public sector experience preferred.

Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred.
