Position Details

Hickory Hills Police Department's Consolidated Dispatch Center is a multi-jurisdictional Emergency Dispatch Center that services police and fire departments in the southwestern portion of Cook County.

Main responsibilities involve answering police and fire emergency and non-emergency calls for service and dispatching responsible agencies to those calls via radio and Capers CAD. 

Police, Fire & EMS dispatching for the following Agencies:

• Hickory Hills PD
• Bedford Park PD
• Summit PD & FD

Hours:

Monday thru Sunday

8 hour Shifts (Days, Afternoons, Mids – selected by seniority)

Overtime if available/ when necessary

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Fluent in English
• Candidate Interview
• Pass background investigation
• Pass physical examination, to include vision and hearing test
• Pass drug screening
