Position Details

Minimum Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• Basic Operations Firefighter
• EMT-Basic or higher
• AHA CPR Healthcare Provider card or higher
• Successfully enter into the Amita St. Mary's Hospital EMS System

The Grant Park Fire District is seeking part time Firefighter/Paramedics and Firefighter/EMT's for employment.

Grant Park Fire District is located in the northeastern portion of Kankakee County bordering Will County and Indiana. The organization responds to an average of 800 emergency annually out of one fire station. We operate 2 advanced life support ambulances, 3 engine companies, a brush vehicle and utility vehicle. The department is staffed by a minimum of one firefighter/paramedic and one firefighter/emt 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. The organization is also heavily supplemented by a paid on call program.
