Salary:

• Starting: $51,551.83 (as of May 1, 2020)

  After a year, the salary increases to $55,005.07

  And after two years the salary will be $58,458.30

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 21 years of age at close of applications
• Valid drivers license
• No felony convictions or any disqualifying misdemeanor convictions
• Good moral character
• High school diploma

The Fire & Police Commission approved the following announcement:

The Village of Mahomet Fire & Police Commission is announcing its intent to establish an experienced officer eligibility register.

At a minimum, successful applicants will have:

• A high school degree
• At least a year of full time law enforcement experience with a single department
• Current ILETSB certification, or ability to obtain full time certification 

Applications will be screened for the minimum qualifications.

Applicants may then participate in a Fire & Police Commission interview. If selected, a thorough background investigation will be conducted.
