SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Part-time Security Officer for SMG/McCormick Place. Under supervision, protects and maintains security and safety of people, buildings, property and works sites in and around McCormick Square during their assigned shift.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as a sworn law enforcement officer, active U.S. military personnel OR as a security guard in a sports and entertainment venue involving extensive contact with the public.
U.S. Military Veterans preferred. Must have been honorably discharged from the armed services of the United States after serving active military duty.
Must:
Acquire and maintain a valid driver’s license within 90 days of date of hire.
Acquire and maintain a valid PERC card within 90 days of date of hire.
CPR/AED certification preferred.
Must:
Be able to work any of the three shifts at McCormick Place.
Shifts generally are 6 AM - 2 PM, 2 PM -10 PM, 10 PM - 6 AM
