Requirements:
MUST have prior police experience in a municipal agency working patrol duties.
Completion of basic recruit academy and meets all requirements of the IL Training and Standards Board. No exceptions.
Can be retired from, or currently working in, a municipal agency.
Specialized skills and/or foreign language are helpful.
Must successfully pass the interview, medical, psychological and polygraph stages.
Miscellaneous Information:
May work various length shifts from three to twelve hours, and may include weekends and/or holidays.
This position pays time and one-half for grant-related work, and double time for Village holidays worked.
Minimum three hours pay for court and special events.
