Position Details

Telecommunicators Professional Career Opportunity

Duties involved include but not limited to:

• Answering 9-1-1 calls
• Transmitting vital information to emergency personnel via the radio
• Relaying information via a Computer Aided dispatch terminal
• Answering administrative and non-emergency lines

This position supports a 24 hour 365 days a year operation with rotating shifts and applicants must have the desire and ability to work ALL shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum age requirement of 21 years of old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Components of selection process
• Communications operator test
• Interview
• In-depth background investigation
• Drug screen, eye exam and audiogram
• Psychological evaluation

Applicants must successfully pass Communications Operator Test and Oral interview. After placement on the eligibility list, applicants will have extensive background investigation, criminal history check, psychological evaluation, physical exam and drug test.
