The Streator Fire & Police Commission is accepting applications for Entry Level Police Officers as of January 21, 2019.

Test Date:

All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License or have the ability to obtain a valid Illinois Driver’s License at the time of hire.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age by February 22, 2019. Maximum age 35 at time of application.
• Must show proof of High School Diploma, GED Certificate or High School Proficiency Statement.
• Military Service: Must provide proof of Honorable Discharge or membership in National Guard or Reserves.
• Character: Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character as specified in Illinois Statute 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6.
• Residence: Must establish residence within 15 miles of the corporate limits of the City of Streator within the 12 months of probationary period.
• Must pass all levels of the Entry Level Police Officer Test given by the Fire & Police Commission.
• Application fee: $10.00
