The Village of Rantoul Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will be accepting applications February 11, 2019 through March 31, 2019 to establish an eligibility list for the position of Police Officer.
*(A veteran shall be allowed to exceed the maximum age provision by the number of years served on active military duty, but by no more than 10 years of active military duty.)
Applicants must successfully complete a written entrance examination, psychological testing, thorough background investigation, oral interview, and a physical examination which includes a drug screening.
Applicants are required to pass a physical agility test to successfully complete the police training academy.

The oral board interviews for the top candidates who pass the written examination will be held at a later date. All eligible applicants will be notified of the date and time.
The Village of Rantoul offers a competitive benefits package. The starting hourly salary for this position is currently $28.26.
