Position Details

The City of Fulton Police Department is currently accepting applications for two (2) immediate openings for a Certified Police Officer until July 30th, 2020.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• Must already be a certified Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Illinois or certified by qualifying out of state basic academy
• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a U.S. citizen and reside within a thirty (30) mile radius after within 1 year of appointment (Options include living in Iowa)
• Must have a valid driver's license or be able to obtain an Illinois driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the City
• Must be eligible to carry a firearm under all state and federal laws
• Must pass an extensive background check
• May be required to pass a written test, oral interview, medical examination, polygraph, and a psychological assessment
