The Village of Mundelein is seeking a community-focused, collaborative, and innovative professional to lead the Mundelein Police Department.

The Mundelein Police Department serves a community of approximately 32,000 residents, nestled in the center of Lake Country, Illinois.  The next Police Chief will oversee a staff of 82 employees, including 53 sworn officers and a dispatch center that serves multiple communities.

In addition to a Bachelor's degree in a police-related field and a minimum of ten (10) years progressive administrative experience with a law enforcement agency, the ideal Police Chief will have an unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability, the ability to effectively engage and build trust in the community and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.
