Position Details

The Niles Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Community Service Officer 2.

This is a part-time non-sworn position that encompasses a variety of responsibilities including both desk and street duty.

Qualified candidates must:

• Be at least 17 years of age
• Be a High School graduate 

AND

Possess:

• Valid Illinois Divers License
• Basic computer skills
• Interpersonal skills, communication and strong written/verbal skills
• Excellent moral character 

Candidates must:

• Pass pre-employment criminal records check
• Be able to handle stress situations and deal courteously with the public
