Overview:
We are a small, privately-owned ambulance company that since 2000, has been providing Critical Care Transport Services to the Chicagoland area. While we will transport any patient needing critical care transport services to any hospital, we primarily support the critical care needs of a major university medical center while also operating as a dedicated pediatric critical care transport provider.
Position Summary:
The Critical Care Transport Paramedic functions as a member of a three-person critical care transport team responsible for the following:
- Initiation of medical care within the licensed and certified scope of practice
- Participation in team-based interdisciplinary patient care
- Ensure all equipment is clean and ready to use
- Prompt completion of detail-oriented patient care reports post-call
- Participation with other shift members in daily station duties:
- Keeping a clean station
- Keeping ambulances clean and restocked
- Completion of daily narcotic, equipment, and ambulance checklists
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for work in the United States
- Valid Illinois Driver's License w/ clean abstract report
- Be at least age of 21-years old at the time of application
- Have proof of high-school diploma or GED equivalency
- Must be of good moral character with no felony convictions as defined by State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6
- Pre-employment screening:

- Occupational health assessment
- For veteran applicants' proof of honorable discharge required (DD-214)
Required Qualifications:
- IDPH EMT-P in Good Standing
- 2-years ALS experience required
- Critical Care Cert / CCEMT-P Required
- Proof of 80 hrs critical care training
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- PHTLS / ITLS
- NRP (within 6-months of hire)
- Loyola EMS entry w/i 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two-years of pediatric transport experience preferred
- Prior Military service is highly desired
