Firefighter/Paramedic Minimum Requirements:

• $30 non-refundable application processing fee
• U.S. Citizenship
• No Felony Convictions
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• Associate's degree in Fire Science or Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or a Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited college/university
• 21 to 35 years of age by date of hire unless otherwise exempt by statute
• IDPH Paramedic License
• CPAT and Ladder Climb verification (no older than October 16, 2019) by date of application 

Testing Information:

Addison FPD will be offering in home testing to all eligible candidates in November. There will be multiple sessions offered and each will be proctored virtually. Testing will take place during business hours on a weekday. Eligible candidates will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule and prepare for the exam. Additional information will be provided to those eligible to test. All portions of the testing process are mandatory. Failure to attend and successfully complete any portion of the process will result in elimination from employment consideration.
