Position Details

The Village of Carol Stream Police Department seeks a motivated person full-time to provide customer assistance, data entry, answer non-emergency calls and perform various general office duties.

Must:

• Possess strong clerical skills
• Possess the ability to discreetly handle confidential matters 

Carol Stream Police Records clerks utilize several electronic programs including MS Office and the LEADS database.

Qualifications: 

• This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Successful candidates will possess an attention to detail and the proven ability to multi-task; the ability to work independently and be a self-starter, often times under minimal supervision, is also a must.
• Previous work in law enforcement/public safety, and experience with Microsoft Excel is a plus, but not required.
• High School degree or equivalent is required. 

Primary shift Tuesday through Saturday 3p-11p, however must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays, and overtime when necessary.
