Position Details

Cortland Police Department is seeking part time patrol officers.

Cortland is located in north central DeKalb County, boardering DeKalb on the west and Sycamore on the north. We have a diverse population of approximately 5000 residents.

We currently have 6 full time officers and 4 part time officers.

We are seeking too add 4 more part time officers to meet our approved manpower.

Hours will vary and qualified candidates must be able to work the occasional midnight shift.

Only full time sworn officers may apply.

Position includes uniform shirt and pants. All duty gear including vest and weapon are supplied by the officer.

Minimum 2 years full time experience required

Full background investigation prior to offer of employment.
