Position Details

SANDWICH POLICE DEPARTMENT

SANDWICH BOARD OF POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSIONERS

The Sandwich Police and Fire Commission will be accepting applications for the position of probationary Patrol Officer. Those applying will be tested and placed on an eligibility list.

Minimum requirements are:

• U.S. Citizen
• Valid Illinois driver's license
• High school diploma or GED
• No felony or domestic violence conviction
• Ability to pass written, physical agility, psychological, polygraph and medical tests
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Eye sight correctable to 20/20
• Free of color blindness
• 21 years of age at time of hire
• Must not have reached their 36th birthday upon hire date unless a certified police officer in the State of Illinois
