Position Details

The Grayslake Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time Community Service Officer.

Ideal candidates should posses excellent customer service skills and be able to work tactfully and courteously with the public. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and follow department policies and procedures.

General Qualifications include:

• 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Posses and maintain a valid and properly classified Illinois driver's license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to drive motor vehicles to provide required services.
• Must pass background investigation, medical exam and other employment required testing.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision. 

Shift:

Community Service Officers currently work 12 hour shifts 6am to 6pm with every other weekend off. Shifts can vary depending on department needs, so the ideal candidate needs to be flexible with schedule.
