Salary:

• Starting: $85,153

  Top Pay: $117,410 (2024)

  Starting Salary: $85,153 for probationary officers; If previously Certified, after successful completion of FTO Program, officer will be placed in the wage schedule based on their years of qualified previous experience, up to  maximum scale.  The salary listed reflects wage rates in accordance with the terms of the 2024 contract.

The Batavia Board of Fire & Police Commissioners is accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer with the Batavia Police Department.

The Board intends to establish a Police Officer Eligibility List (Register) with entry level and IL-Certified candidates interested in growing with our community, who come from diverse backgrounds to strengthen our community-oriented approach to policing.
